Accommodate multiple numbers which you can add, delete and configure right from your iPhone's settings, with eSIM! Switch between private and business numbers in a single phone without the need to physically swap cards in the phone.

The Omantel eSIM is an embedded SIM that will enable Omantel to offer an entirely digitized user experience without inserting the standard SIM card in the smart device. Our subscribers can now buy new SIMs and select both the number and plan through easy and simple steps at their mobile phones. eSIM is available for all Baqati postpaid and Hayyak prepaid plans.

Find out how to use our eSIM service

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital version of a SIM card that's built into your iPhone. It:
  • Eliminates the need for a physical SIM card.
  • Let’s store and manage multiple cellular plans (eight or more).
  • Enables faster setting up of cellular plans without visiting a carrier store.
  • It is more secure and convenient, especially when traveling internationally.
Transfer SIM from your old iPhone (iOS 16+) to your new iPhone. Steps:
  • On the new iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM.
  • Choose a plan or tap Transfer from Nearby iPhone.
  • Follow the instructions on both iPhones.
  • Old SIM is deactivated automatically.
Steps:
  • Settings > Cellular > Convert to eSIM.
  • Tap Convert Cellular Plan > Convert to eSIM.
  • Wait for activation.
  • Remove physical SIM and restart.
Visit Omantel outlet for a QR code. Steps:
  • During setup: Tap Use QR Code on the Set Up Cellular screen.
  • After setup:
  • Open Camera and scan the QR.
  • Tap Cellular Plan Detected, then Continue > Add Cellular Plan.
  • Enter any code if required.
Visit Omantel outlet to transfer via:
  • QR Code.
Try These First:
  • Turn Airplane Mode on/off.
  • In Settings > Cellular, toggle the line off/on.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Ensure iOS is up to date.
  • Check carrier settings: Go to Settings > General > About and tap on Carrier version if prompted.
  • Ensure iOS is up to date.
Still Not Working?
  • Visit the nearest Omantel outlet.
Only do this if:
  • You’re switching phones.
  • You're selling/giving away the device.
To erase:
  • Go to Settings > Cellular (or Cellular Data on iPad).
  • Tap the plan > Delete eSIM (or Delete Plan).

How to be Activated

Purchase or replace your physical SIM to an eSIM through the Omantel app (IOS) with easy and simple steps:

1. Click the icon for the new eSIM, and ensure that the phone is compatible with the eSIM. Select a prepaid plan or postpaid plan. 
2. Choose the prepaid or postpaid number. 
3. Submit a copy of the ID, passport, or residence card, in addition to a personal photograph. 
4. Put your signature on the specified field 
5. Proceed with the payment. 
6. Your eSIM will be activated on the same device you are currently using.
