Annual Cancer Awareness Walkathon

Omantel continuously support Oman Cancer Association in organizing various fundraising activities to provide the required medicines and supplements for cancer patients in the Sultanate, particularly those undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The Walkathon also aims to spread awareness on caring for the cancer patients as well as to educate the community members to follow a healthy lifestyles. “Together Volunteering Team” of Omantel employees participated in the annual cancer awareness walkathon. In last two years, a number of 29,000 supplement bottles were provided toOman Cancer Association. To enhance social solidarity, the company provided short code (SMS) donation service for the association, which enables individuals to donate for the benefit of the society with a value of one riyal per month by sending an SMS with the word "donate" to the number (90233).
