Omantel and the Ministry of Education signed an agreement to develop an IT and coding curriculum for primary school students in grades 1-4.

The corner is considered an educational incubator for children, and it represents an important new stage toward the future of Oman and digital transformation in the country.

Omantel Olympics of Coding is aimed at discovering and encouraging students who possess the skills and mental abilities that are essential to the logical thinking of programming, draw their attention to the importance of information technology.

As part of this responsibility towards Oman’s economy and Omanisation, Omantel recently completed an Integrated Internship Programme with Huawei, in which 100 ICT graduates from various universities and colleges have participated.

This program aims to promote research and innovation culture among students at the first cycle schools. 

Omantel signed an agreement to provide (11) scholarships for a bachelor's degree for students of social security families. The students have been enrolled in the academic year 2020/2021.

In 2017, Omantel entered into a partnership with Sultan Qaboos University to promote scientific research in the fields of ICT and Nanotechnology in support of the efforts made to develop scientific research in Sultanate of Oman.

An annual training program for a group of public-school students to enhance their skills and equip students with new skills in areas such as time management, safety, self-reliance and self-confidence.

Omantel launched ‘Edlal’ platform In partnership with Entrepreneurs in Point Organization. Edlal is the first of its kind open e-learning platform in Oman.

Omantel partnered with Microsoft Corporation to organize the annual competition (Imagine Cup). Which brings together young technologists worldwide to help resolve some of the world's toughest challenges.

Omantel supported the efforts to reduce the effects of Tropical Cyclone Shaheen in Al Batinah Governorate. The company, based on the directives of top management and the board of directors, donated half a million Omani riyals to Oman Charitable Organization as part of Omantel’s contribution to enhance the standard of living for effected families.

An annual campaign launched in 2014 organised by Omantel in partnership with Dar Alatta in the Holy Month of Ramadan to get closer to the society and bring smiles.

Omantel launched Color Their World initiative to add artistic touches to the walls of children's clinics in hospitals and for the Welfare of Disabled Children by drawing paintings of cartoon characters that attract children.

Omantel contributes to spreading awareness of the importance of donating blood in cooperation with the Blood Bank at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.

Omantel has funded with BK5000 diagnostic ultrasound device for the Liver Surgery Unit at the Royal Hospital, an ultrasound device for surgeries of the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. 

Omantel supported the purchase of a medical apparatus for the pediatric unit in Sohar Hospital to provide necessary care for the new born babies. 

On the occasion of allocating the seventeenth of October of each year as a day for Omani women, and believing in the importance of supporting and strengthening the efforts of Omani women's associations in the field of empowering women and highlighting their efforts.

The Walkathon aims to spread awareness on caring for the cancer patients as well as to educate the community members to follow a healthy lifestyles.

Omantel supported the wheelchair basketball championship organized by the Omani Paralympic Committee which aims to encourage those with motion disability to practice sports and engage in social activities.

Omantel launched a special campaign to support the families affected by Cyclone Mekunu by providing home appliances to more than 265 families in the wilayat of Dalkut, Rakhyout, and Sadah.

In cooperation with Be’ah, Omantel launched Reverse Vending Machines to promote the culture of recycling, achieve the concept of circular economy, implement recycling initiatives, recover the value of materials and reduce the amount of waste produced.
